As 2024 draws to a close, we at MKThink are deeply grateful as we reflect on an incredible year of innovation, collaboration, and impact. This year has been a testament to the power of partnerships and the shared commitment to creating smarter, more sustainable environments.

From the outset, MKThink’s mission has been rooted in solving challenges to elevate critical places, making them not only essential but also optimally functional and impactful through using spatial intelligence and strategic innovation. This foundation underpins everything we do, and it is our partners who truly bring this mission to life. They choose us not just for our expertise but because we align with their values, share their vision, and deeply understand the challenges they face. Together, we solve five core problems—edge resiliency, community strength, learning outcomes, healthy places, and systems optimization — and make places better!

Highlights from Some of Our Collaborations

Our partnerships this year demonstrate how MKThink’s values come to life across sectors and regions:

  • Pacific School of Religion: With a shared dedication to inclusivity and academic excellence, we collaborated on integrating spatial intelligence into campus planning, ensuring the environment reflects and supports its mission.

  • Stanford University: Guided by our commitment to enhancing learning outcomes, we advanced understanding of educational environments through cutting-edge research and data, improving results for students and faculty.

  • Hawai'i Department of Education: Driven by our focus on edge resilience, we worked to improve educational spaces, making them more inclusive and optimized for learning and well-being.

  • Hawai'i School Facilities Authority:  In partnership, we addressed the challenge of modernizing and optimizing school facilities with innovative designs that honor the cultural richness of Hawai'i.

  • Hawai'i Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS): Aligning with our value of healthy places, we contributed to smarter infrastructure planning, supporting Hawai'i’s vision for growth that balances environmental stewardship with operational efficiency.

  • Earl Warren Showgrounds: This project showcased our ability to combine adaptability and community strength, transforming underutilized spaces into vibrant, multi-functional venues with sustainable design principles.

Each collaboration reflects the trust our clients place in us to deliver meaningful solutions. More importantly, these projects highlight our alignment with their values—whether fostering inclusion, driving innovation, or honoring cultural contexts—ensuring every outcome resonates with purpose and impact.
